The Pierce County Board of Commissioners/Board of Equalization will hold its regular scheduled meetings every other Monday of each month at 9:00 a.m. beginning Monday, July 20, 2026, unless there is a holiday, then the meeting will be held on the next day of business at 9:00 a.m. at the Pierce County Courthouse Board of Commissioners Meeting Room. The method designated by the Pierce County Board is to provide reasonable advance publicized notice to be published in the Pierce, Osmond and Plainview Newspapers. In case of refusal, neglect, or inability of the newspaper to publish such notice, the Pierce County Board will (i) post such notice on its website, if available, (ii) request the newspaper submit a post on a statewide website, if available, established and maintained as a repository for such notices by a majority of Nebraska newspapers, and (iii) post such notice in a conspicuous public place in such County's jurisdiction.
The Pierce County Board of Commissioners will convene as the Pierce County Board of Equalization for the purpose of hearing 2026 property valuation protests on the following dates: Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at 9:00 a.m., Thursday, July 16, 2026 at 9:00. A final decision will be made on all heard protests on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. Each owner of property filing a protest of value will receive notice of date and time of hearing. An agenda of dates and times is available in the office of the Pierce County Clerk. All hearings will be conducted in the County Commissioners’ meeting room in the Pierce County Courthouse.
